Great buy for the money
I was given this as a gift and it was on sale fore 29.99 at a big box store. I am pleased to say that I am pleasantlyt surprized at the performance of this screw gun/drill given the very low price. It does self discarge without uses (as do all ni-cad chemistry batteries). I was surprised that it was able to drill a 6" drywall screw through hard wood without any problems. The only major problem I really have with this screw gun/drill is the replacement cost of the battery is more than what my friend paid for the screw gun/drill at the store which included the battery. I haven't been able to find specs on the battery, but given that it the size of the battery is so small and is made up of 8 1.2v cells, the cells. my guess is that it's about 14.4 watt hours (assuming each cell is probably around 1500mah (9.6 x 1.5=14.4). When and if the battery every stops working, I will probably order new cells for it with higher capacity cells, maybe 2000mah cells giving it a 19.2 watt hour battery...
