Good drill, but register for LSA
I've been using this drill for work for a few years now. I've got the older model r86006. The drill itself kicks butt, but they've had issues with their lithium batteries not lasting very long. I find I get about 9 months to a year out of them, and I use this drill about 10 hours a week or more. If you get a Ridgid tool REGISTER IT ONLINE FOR THE LIFETIME SERVICE AGREEMENT. Then find out who your nearest service rep is. I call this guy when my batteries are starting to slip, and I've got brand new replacements in about a week. FREE. I was recently torquing it pretty good and I think it messed up the motor or the switch or something. The rebuild is COMPLETELY covered by the service agreement. $10 bucks UPS to ship it to him is all it costs me. I read a lot of guys ragging on the batteries, and I get that.
