What a pleasure it is to use B&D's 20-volt lithium-ion drill after being used to much more expensive, less powerful bottom-heavy NiCad drills from the top brands. Highly recommended!
The 20-volt max battery is shared across B%D's mew line of DIY and lawn and garden tools. The charge lasts all day when used in the drill but is a bit short on staying power for the string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and chain saws (though those are still a bargain once one has a few of the batteries on hand). Also new to the B&D 20-volt Max family are the Matrix tools where drills, saws, sanders, and more can be powered by a single motorized body.
It should be noted that this system requires an overnight charge (7 hours). (A fast charger may be purchased separately). The battery is so light that I'm hoping that B&D comes out with a bigger one with a bit more staying power for their lawn and garden tools.
