I like Bosch products and purchased this drill due to its price, features, and the fact that it's made in Switzerland and not China. It is a powerful tool, to be sure. It has no problem turning a 4" holesaw through hardwood, and in fact, once the teeth catch the drill spins hard enough to cause injury. This brings up the first of my two issues with the drill. The side handle clamps on to the gear housing, and as such constantly gets loose if the drill binds. It would have been so much better had the handle threaded directly into the metal housing. This constant loosening becomes rather annoying, and even dangerous because the handle starts to slide toward the chuck. This leads to the second issue I have. The chuck, while made in Japan, did not hold tight enough despite all three holes being tightened. I replaced it with a German made Rohm chuck, which was on sale for through another vendor and it works perfectly. Holds tight and doesn't slip. Overall the fit and finish is superb and...
