I installed on a IR model 121 hammer. Takes about a minute to install: Just unscrew your existing spring, screw on this retainer, and tighten the three set screws.
The retainer uses a ball-lock system to retain the chisel. Pushing down the spring-loaded collar retracts the balls and allows chisels to be freely inserted/removed. When released, the collar springs back into position, exposing the balls and holding the chisel in place. With this installed, changing chisels becomes a 1-second operation.
At under twenty bucks, this should be standard equipment on every IR air hammer!
