I really like this drill, it seems well-made and sturdy and it has all kinds of power, but for whatever reason it seems like it's harder to be precise with than other similar drills I've had. For starters, it has an absolute hair trigger: just brush it, and it starts to turn. The nice thing is that it's very pressure-sensitive, so it spins really SLOW if you brush it, but there's no slack (or "take-up") between "finger on trigger" and "drill turning." Also, due to the shape of the front of the chuck, it seems like it's much easier to accidentally be in contact with it when you're trying to locate the bit and spin it slow. I have a nice little blister on my index finger from a friction burn I didn't even feel happening until it was too late. As soon as I learn to stay out of the way, I'll probably be much happier with it.

I purchased this at Lowes a few months back for home/weekend warrior use. It's fantastic, tons of torque. As mentioned by others, the light isn't the most useful because it's blocked the chuck. Although it's handy as a quick flashlight as needed (you can squeeze the trigger just enough to turn on the light but not start the chuck turning). For a weekend warrior, no hesitation. Gereat Drill, Not So Great Battery
I bought this drill in a kit that included an extra battery , a flashlight and a charger for the batteries. The drill has performed well in what little use it has seen. The problem is that one of the lithium ion batteries will not take a charge now. When I put it on the charger, the indicator light on the charger blinks green for a few moments indicating that the battery is charging, but then it begins to flash red indicating a defective battery. This thing has only been used a couple times since it was bought as a Christmas present. I bought the one with lithium ion batteries because I was fed up with the memory problems of ni-cads, and now that one of my batteries is dead, when the other one depletes its charge, the drill is useless until it is recharged. If the second one goes bad, too, I'm out the total cost of the drill. Not much of a bargain.
